What I can first suggest is please do not sleep a lot during the day. This can be a main factor why you can’t sleep at night. Because plain and simply your body is not tired enough! Ever though about that? Just take a short nap, but not to long. Probably around twenty minutes or so. That should be enough to give you a little burst of energy until night.
You must create a night routine that is going to get you sleepy. Do something that will take away your energy but also will get you into a relaxed state. It is all about relaxation when it comes to sleep. Don’t try to get all your work done to put you too sleep because it will only cause more stress to you and your body and will ultimately hinder your sleep progress. I am sure you don’t want that.
Some people make the mistake of eating too much or too late at night. You should eat a healthy diet and your last meal should be at least two hours before your sleep time. Eating too much or too late can cause indigestion problem, and this will not delay in your falling asleep. It will keep you up for a little more time.
If you want to fall asleep naturally you will have to allow your body to relax. In order to do so you should wear cloths that actually feel comfortable on your body. Try to avoid tight clothes that can restrict blood flow through your body. Wear something loose and comfortable that will allow your body to relax and let it fall into sleep fast and naturally.
If you continue to have issues with sleeping though you should always consult a doctor because there may be a possibility that there is a problem or issue within your own body.

Maintaining a healthy nutritional balance when someone is ill becomes a challenge for most people. We know there are certain foods we should eat but loss of appetite when ill causes stress and then we can’t be bothered to cook. When dealing with special diets it is important to remember less salt and sugar will help to make you feel better and maintain a healthy blood sugar and blood pressure. There has been so much hype in the media these last few years that is difficult to know what to believe. Fat is important in our diet but it should be the right fats such as nuts, seeds, avocado, salmon, tuna and low-fat cheese. These are extremely nutritious foods that can be relatively inexpensive to eat. A lot of seniors have heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and even some cancers.
